Amazon chooses Blue Express and Chilexpress for its landing in Chile in 2023

Until we were tired we had heard year after year of the arrival of Amazon in the national territory, until finally this June it was learned that it will finally be in 2023 that the e-commerce giant will make its debut in Chile.

And as we can read in the Diario Financiero, Amazon has been in meetings with different logistics and travel operators for months to prepare for its arrival next yearin addition to looking for where the company’s distribution center will be.

In that sense, fIt was in April that Amazon began a tender for companies that are dedicated to logistics in Chile to lease their facilities, and without giving too much information, the tender included visits to the different warehouses, monitoring of dispatch systems and even surveillance of cargo volumes of the different companies that participated in said contest.

Finally, the information from DF shows that there were two companies chosen for the landing of Amazon in Chile: Blueexpress and Chilexpress. He also realizes that these days the company is closing agreements to have its own distribution and logistics center at ENEA in Santiago. –near the Arturo Merino Benitez international airport–, where a specific logistics volume will be stored to implement express dispatch that can compete with what Mercado Libre, the continent’s e-commerce leader, offers today.

The information, yes, does not seem to be officially confirmed by Amazon or by Chilexpress or Bluexpress, since Diario Financiero reports that the American giant has declared that they will not refer to rumours, while the logistics companies did not decide to comment on the regard.
