One of the main novelties expected at this year’s WWDC was the presentation of iOS 16, which was rumored to bring many new features, and indeed it has. The new version of the operating system integrates a lot of aesthetic improvements, in addition to a few other functional ones that, without a doubt, will be to the liking of many.
new lock screen
At first glance, the biggest change has been the lock screen. For several years this screen has been quite standard on the iPhone, but this year Apple has decided to make a change. The first thing is that the default design has changed the font and style.
But the interesting thing is that now we can customize this screen with different fonts, styles, maintain multiple screens and change the colors that take center stage. Also, this lock screen now converses with the Focus modes that we may have configured.
Finally, we will be able to add widgets directly to the lock screen and interact with them, which will make these actions much faster. If you ask me, this very much paves the way for the next iPhone to have an Always On screen while locked.
News in Messages
Another application that usually receives a lot of love from Apple is Messages. Here they announced that the possibility of editing messages already sent and also of undoing the sending of a message will be added. Also, we can now mark a message as unread manually.
Although it did not have an ad per se, we were able to see for a few seconds the new Wallpapers application that will include iOS 16, where you can see many more options to customize the phone, where we can also create different backgrounds according to our tastes .
The exact date when the first developer beta will be available is not yet known, but we do know for sure that the final version should see the light of day before the next iPhone launches later this year in September or October.
